• Opening Hours
  • We are available to take your booking via our web-site, anytime. Reception is open between check-in hours of 2pm-5pm and during cafe’ opening hours of 8am-10am. Please call the After Hours number if office is unattended.
  • Fireside Store & Kitchen is open for guests only. We are happy to plan and prepare your additional catering needs beyond normal trading hours, with prior notice.
  • We are a small family-run business, therefore, all site tour appointments and reception viewings must be arranged prior.
  • COVID-19 Certification
  • Our Housekeeping Officer has undergone Government compulsory certification for hygiene practices. We have implemented several initiatives, such as no contact check-in notification via sms, frequent cleaning of amenities, limited cash requirements and extensive laundering of all linen and bedding. In addition, our rooms are given maximum time between bookings. Guest are responsible for their own health and hygiene at all times.
  • Expectations
  • Check-in is between 3pm and 5pm (Sun-Thursday) and 3pm and 6pm (Fri-Sat) Please notify Reception if you require a later check-in service. Our Studio Rooms are free from formal Check-in. Late check-in can be arranged up until 9pm, during the peak period and 8pm during the non-peak period. We are happy to receive an emergency call-out up until 8pm.
  • Check-out is strictly 10am.
  • The use of retreat facilities is strictly for guests only. Vehicle numbers and movement is a consideration during peak times. Please park in main car park, if arriving after dark.
  • Guests are expected to adhere to our sustainability guidelines, which include the management of traffic movement, noise and headlight restrictions within the glamping Village, waste and recycling management, water and power restrictions.
  • Please be courteous to all guests, always. This includes cleaning up after using BBQs, glampers kitchen facilities, fire-pits, games room, yoga studio and bathroom amenities.
  • We aim to be a smoke-free farm. Please take considerate precautions for disposing your butts responsibly and smoking away from all guests, buildings and accommodation.
  • Our natural environment is important to us. Please do not approach or feed wildlife.
  • Payment Policy
  • A valid credit card is required to confirm your booking.
  • We accept all major credit cards via our Payment gateway.
  • We also accept Visa and Mastercard via our Reception EFTPOS system, during opening hours.
  • A deposit payment of 1 nights’ stay will be processed at the time your booking is made.
  • Your booking confirmation and deposit payment gives Margaret River Retreat the authority to process your balance of payment within 14 days of your arrival date, during peak periods and on the day of your arrival, during non-peak periods. Please notify Reception at the time of booking if you require another form of payment.
  • All Event Reservations are required to commit to a 50% deposit of their anticipated total tariff, to secure their Retreat or Special Event. Adjustments may be considered as movement in guest numbers evolve.
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations made outside 14 days from your arrival date are eligible for a full refund, less any paid online travel agent (OTA) fees.
  • Cancellations made once the balance of payment has been processed within 14 days of your arrival date will not be eligible for a refund. Similarly, if you choose to shorten your stay or NOT SHOW UP you will NOT be eligible for a refund.
  • All Event Cancellations are fully refundable up to 12 months prior to the event date. This forms part of a cooling off period for both parties. We regret that no refund is possible if you cancel within 6 months of your event date. All unforeseeable cancellations/ refund requests must be in writing with relevant documentation supplied. Management reserves the right to consider all financial outcomes relating to both parties, when determining the refund amount requested.
  • A Bond of $1500 Credit card hold is required  prior to your bump-in date. Couples will be notified via phone or email if any funds are to be held and used to cover damage or unpaid costs, following final post inspection of the property.
  • Covid-19 travel restrictions or illness may suddenly prevent you from staying with us. If you book direct we can extend a full refund on a case by case basis. If you book via an Online Travel Agent (OTA) we can only refund your tariff less the associated service fees.
  • Vaccination Requirement are no longer in effect under the National Plan to transition Australia’s National Covid-19 Response. If re-introduced the customer shall comply with all Government  (Federal and State) COVID-19 up-to-date vaccination or testing requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access the operator’s  premises, event or service. Where the customer does not meet a vaccination or testing requirement;
  • (a)Prior to departure from the customer’s home location, the customer will forfeit any and all monies paid; or
  • (b) for entry to the event or venue or access to the service, the customer will not be granted entry and will forfeit any and all monies paid.
  • Where the customer cancels due to travel restrictions other than vaccination or testing requirements, the customer will be contacted and offered a refund or credit note (to be used at a later time), where such an offer is at the absolute discretion of the operator. Management reserves the right to withhold some monies to cover administrative expenses and other losses, dependent on when notice of cancellation is given by the customer.
  • Upgrades
  • Management is happy to upgrade your Glamping accommodation to an available Studio Room, at any time during your stay, for a flat cleaning and preparation fee of $80. Please provide our staff with maximum notice (Subject to availability).
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • During an extreme weather event, prior to your arrival, Management will notify you with some re-booking options or issue you with a Credit Note. During an extreme weather event, after your arrival, Management will upgrade your glamping accommodation to one of our available Studio Rooms. In the unfortunate event of a FIRE threat, within the immediate local area, Management will evacuate you and assist with your relocation.
  • Gift Certificates & Giveaway Campaigns
  • Gift Certificates are non-transferable, are downloadable from the cart gateway, may then be emailed to the recipient and are valid for 3-years, from date of purchase. Gifts must be redeemed within this period. Certificates cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Competitions and Giveaway Promotions are non transferable, must not be redeemed over Public Holiday dates, do not include flights or transfers, are valid from 3-years from Prize draw and must be redeemed within this period. Winners are selected using Google random calculator and are notified via email.
  • Property Loss & Damages (Additional cleaning)
  • Margaret River Retreat is not responsible for any property loss or damage. Please remain vigilant and do not leave any valuables within our tents.
  • Margaret River Retreat does not charge a Bond, however we reserve the right to redeem the cost of any damage or loss of property associated with your stay. In addition, guests are advised they are responsible for actions and behavior made by visitors or a member of the guest party. Margaret River Retreat reserves the right to charge the guest for additional cleaning, if accommodation is left in a state which requires additional housekeeping costs. Checklists are in place to record property loss and damage, or additional cleaning costs upon Check-out. Please notify us if your have caused damage to property, so that we can resolve this issue as soon as possible.
  • Collaborations & Media Agreement
  • We welcome collaborative opportunities with valid Content Writers and Professional Photographers. Please contact us to view our Media Agreement.
  • Margaret River Retreat will not offer remuneration for content without prior notification. All Media Content must be presented in a manner which positively reflects the values of the business.
